There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Dutch Den Bosch (1-4) was rolled over on the road by leader Turkish Gaziantep (5-0) 93-72 on Wednesday. Gaziantep shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Point guard Can Ugur Ogut (178-1992) stepped up and scored 13 points and 9 assists for the winners and Canadian guard Olivier Hanlan (193-1993, college: Boston Coll.) chipped in 16 points. Gaziantep's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Thomas van der Mars (208-1990, college: Portland) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Norwegian forward Chris-Ebou Ndow (201-1993, college: NW Missouri St.) scored 15 points and 7 assists. Four Den Bosch players scored in double figures. Gaziantep keeps a position of league leader. Defending Dutch champion Den Bosch dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Keravnos and Levice. Gaziantep will meet Hakro Merlins (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Den Bosch will play against the league's second-placed Kalev/Cramo in Tallinn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
