Second Stage Round 6: Krasnie Krilya - Antwerp 87-67

Krasnie Krilya paved their way into the quarterfinal stage after they defeated visiting Antwerp 87-67 on Tuesday night. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-67. Krasnie Krilya dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Antwerp Giants' 32 and made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game, while Antwerp Giants only scored five points from the stripe. Bulgarian Filip Videnov (196-80, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Alti Sport) scored 16 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Aaron Miles (186-83, college: Kansas) chipped in 14 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: George Mason, agency: Court Side) with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Ugandan-Belgian forward Jean-Marc Mwema (195-89, agency: Court Side) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
