Regular Season Round 1: Siauliai - Enisey 93-92

Siauliai used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Krasnoyarsk 93-92 on Tuesday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-20. But Enisey Krasnoyarsk won second period 27-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Siauliai especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Forward Martynas Linkevicius (196-85) fired 16 points for the winners. Guard Vytautas Sulskis (200-88, college: Youngstown St.) chipped in 19 points. American-Bosnian point guard D.J. Cooper (183-90, college: Ohio, agency: N.E.T.) produced 22 points and Bosnian center Elmedin Kikanovic (211-88, agency: Beo Basket) added 15 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Siauliai will face Tsmoki-Minsk on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Enisey Krasnoyarsk will play against Usak and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
