Okapi Aalstar used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Frankfurt 94-59 on Tuesday night. The game without a history. Okapi Aalstar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Okapi Aalstar forced 22 Deutsche Bank Skyliners turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Deutsche Bank Skyliners' players. American guard Jason Clark (188-90, college: Georgetown) fired 20 points and 6 assists for the winners. His fellow American import swingman Lee Cummard (201-85, college: BYU, agency: Priority Sports) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Okapi Aalstar's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Danilo Barthel (207-91) produced 12 points and 9 rebounds and center Johannes Voigtmann (210-92) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Okapi Aalstar will face Boras Basket on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will play against Bakken and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
