Regular Season Round 2: Boras - Aalstar 67-91

Boras Basket was not able to use a home court advantage and was outscored by the opponent from Aalst 91-67 on Tuesday night. The game without a history. Okapi Aalstar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Boras Basket's 40. Samoan-American power forward John Tofi (203-84, college: UTEP) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Okapi Aalstar players scored in double figures. Okapi Aalstar's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard James Miller (182-79, college: N.Carolina A&T) replied with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Christian Maraker (206-82, college: Pacific) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Boras Basket. Okapi Aalstar will face Bakken in Aarhus in the next round. Boras Basket will play on the road against Deutsche Bank Skyliners in Frankfurt.
