Everything went according to plan when Russian Avtodor (2-0) outplayed on the road Romanian Oradea (0-2) 101-74 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Avtodor led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Avtodor forced 21 Oradea turnovers and outrebounded them 41-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. Oradea was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: Three Eye Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. point guard Aleksei Vzdykhalkin (192-85, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Avtodor's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Australian-Trinidad and Tobago guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona) replied with 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Croatian forward Ante Krapic (204-85, agency: XL Basketball Agency) added 12 points in the effort for Oradea. Five Avtodor and four Oradea players scored in double figures. Avtodor will face Astana at home in the next round. Oradea will play against Tofas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
