Regular Season Round 3: Usak - Siauliai 79-69

Date: November 19, 2014
There was a small surprise when Turkish Usak (2-1) won against at home Lithuanian Siauliai (2-1) 79-69 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 44-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Siauliai outrebounded Usak 45-31 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Courtney Fells (196-86, college: N.Carolina St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton) helped adding 19 points and 4 assists. Four Usak players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Rokas Giedraitis (198-92) with 25 points and guard Gintaras Leonavicius (194-83, agency: Players Group) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Usak will face Tsmoki-Minsk on the road in the next round. Siauliai will play against Enisey Krasnoyarsk.
