Regular Season Round 3: Avtodor - Astana 83-75

The most important game of round 3 took place in Saratov of Group D where Russian Avtodor beat Kazakhstan Astana (2-1) 83-75 on Wednesday night. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 8 points. It was a great shooting night for Avtodor especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for power forward Travis Peterson (208-85, college: Samford) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds. point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: Three Eye Sports) helped adding 5 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. Four Avtodor players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard J'Covan Brown (188-90, college: Texas) with 19 points and 4 steals and point guard Jerry Johnson (182-82, college: Rider, agency: Beo Basket) scored 17 points. Astana will play next round against strong Oradea. Avtodor will try to continue on its current victory against Tofas in Bursa.
