Regular Season Round 4: Boras - Bakken 90-70
Date: December 2, 2014
No shocking result in a game when second ranked Swedish Boras Basket (3-1) smashed at home bottom-ranked Danish Bakken (0-4) 90-70 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Boras Basket. Bakken was better in fourth quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Boras Basket made 7 blocks. Christian Maraker (206-82, college: Pacific) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 20 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Finnish Samuel Haanpaa (203-86, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Boras Basket players scored in double figures. Boras Basket's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Maurice Acker (176-87, college: Marquette) produced 25 points and 5 rebounds and center Jonas Zohore Bergstedt (210-91) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Boras Basket keeps a position of Group C leader, which they share with Aalstar. Defending Danish champion Bakken still closes the standings with four games lost. Boras Basket will face league's leader Okapi Aalstar on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bakken will play against Deutsche Bank Skyliners and hopes to get finally their first victory.
