Regular Season Round 4: Enel Brindisi - Den Bosch 76-62

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Italian Enel Brindisi as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group A. Enel Brindisi defeated their biggest opponent Dutch Den Bosch at home 76-62. It was a key game for the top position in Group A. It looked good early as Den Bosch took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Enel Brindisi had a 20-10 second period charge getting the lead and Den Bosch was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 62-76. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. American-Bulgarian power forward Cedric Simmons (206-86, college: N.Carolina St.) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Enel Brindisi players scored in double figures. Enel Brindisi's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Chris Denson (188-91, college: Auburn, agency: Three Eye Sports) replied with 17 points and forward Stefan Wessels (203-84, agency: R.H.Consultancy) added 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Den Bosch. Enel Brindisi have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Ratiopharm. Den Bosch at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. Just two games before the end of Regular Season and it may be the most important game of the season next round when Den Bosch faces strong ratiopharm Ulm trying to get back on the winning streak. Enel Brindisi will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Sodertalje Kings on the road.
