Regular Season Round 6: Tofas - Oradea 84-75

The game between closely ranked teams ended with one of their biggest challengers Romanian Oradea's (0-6) road loss to third ranked Turkish Tofas (2-4) 75-84 on Tuesday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-15. But Oradea won third quarter 26-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Lance Harris (195-84, college: Kansas St.) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Marcus Hatten (185-80, college: St.John's) with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian Radovan Markovic (193-82, agency: 011 Sports) scored 17 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tofas maintains third position in Group D with 2-4 record having just three points less than leader Enel Brindisi, which they share with Tsmoki-Minsk. Loser Oradea still closes the standings with six games lost.
