Second Stage Round 1: Nanterre - Usak 100-67

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Turkish Usak (0-1) on the court of French JSF Nanterre on Tuesday night. Visitors were rolled over by JSF Nanterre 100-67. The game without a history. JSF Nanterre led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American forward Kyle Weems (198-89, college: Missouri St.) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winners and Cameroonian-French guard Jeremy Nzeulie (187-91) chipped in 19 points. At the losing side American forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Courtney Fells (196-86, college: N.Carolina St.) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JSF Nanterre will meet Le Mans on the road in the next round. Usak will play against Gussing Knights and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
