First defeat of Italian Enel Brindisi (1-1) against Belgian Okapi Aalstar (1-1) 86-81 was the most important game of the last round. The hosts trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 31-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Okapi Aalstar forced 19 Enel Brindisi turnovers. Strangely Enel Brindisi outrebounded Okapi Aalstar 36-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. American point guard Rotnei Clarke (183-89, college: Butler) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. The other American import Taylor Braun (201-91, college: N.Dakota St., agency: Priority Sports) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. American-Guyanese forward Delroy James (203-87, college: Rhode Island) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri) added 15 points and 5 assists in the effort for Enel Brindisi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Enel Brindisi's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Enel Brindisi will play next round against strong CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Okapi Aalstar will try to continue on its current victory against Astana at home.
