No shocking result in a game when German Deutsche Bank Skyliners (2-0) beat Dutch Den Bosch (0-1) in Frankfurt 75-70 on Wednesday. Den Bosch was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 19-11 charge of Deutsche Bank Skyliners, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Den Bosch's players. Center Johannes Voigtmann (210-92) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Quantez Robertson (188-84, college: Auburn) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Robertson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Deutsche Bank Skyliners players scored in double figures. American guard Brandyn Curry (187-91, college: Harvard) replied with 27 points and his fellow American import guard Chris Denson (188-91, college: Auburn, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 7 points in the effort for Den Bosch. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will face Avtodor in Saratov in the next round. Den Bosch will play at home against TU/Rock and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
