Second Stage Round 3: Le Mans - Usak 84-63

French Le Mans smashed Turkish Usak at home 84-63. Usak was ahead by 10 points at the halftime before a 49-18 second half run of Le Mans. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Usak to just 0 points in third quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Usak's 22. They outrebounded Usak 41-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Polish power forward Michal Ignerski (207-80, college: Mississippi St.) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 5 assists. DR Congolese-French Charles Kahudi (199-86, agency: Beo Basket) accounted for 13 points for the winning side. Four Le Mans players scored in double figures. American forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and the other American import point guard Chris Warren (178-88, college: Mississippi) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for Usak in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Usak will play next round against strong JSF Nanterre. Le Mans will try to continue on its current victory against Gussing Knights at home.
