Second Stage Round 3: Nanterre - Gussing 89-86

JSF Nanterre used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Gussing 89-86 on Wednesday night. Gussing Knights trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 30-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 86-89 at the end of the game. JSF Nanterre looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for Jamal Shuler (191-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Kyle Weems (198-89, college: Missouri St.) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds. JSF Nanterre's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and point guard Christopher Dunn (189-83, college: W.Virginia St.) scored 19 points and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. JSF Nanterre will face Usak on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Gussing Knights will play against Le Mans and hope to win that game.
