Second Stage Round 4: Usak - Nanterre 79-71

Date: February 10, 2015
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when third ranked Turkish Usak (2-2) beat at home their biggest opponent French JSF Nanterre (2-2) 79-71 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 26-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) fired 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard Courtney Fells (196-86, college: N.Carolina St.) chipped in 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Usak players scored in double figures. Center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (208-94) produced 18 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and American Jamal Shuler (191-86) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Usak moved-up to second place in Group J, which they share with Nanterre. Usak will face bottom-ranked Gussing Knights (#4) on the road in the next round. JSF Nanterre will play against leader Le Mans and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
