Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both first ranked Romanian CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu and their biggest opponent Belgian Okapi Aalstar had identical 2-1 record. But Okapi Aalstar was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Rovinari 84-82 on Tuesday night. It was a key game for the top position in Group I. The guests trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 28-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Montenegrin Nemanja Milosevic (204-87, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Interperformances) fired 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Porter Troupe (196-83, college: Portland, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Samoan-American power forward John Tofi (203-84, college: UTEP) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and American Taylor Braun (201-91, college: N.Dakota St.) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Five CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu and four Okapi Aalstar players scored in double figures. Okapi Aalstar's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu maintains first position in Group I with 3-1 record. Okapi Aalstar at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu will face Astana (#3) at home in the next round. Okapi Aalstar will play against Enel Brindisi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
