Brose Baskets repeated as BBL champions. They outscored Ratiopharm Ulm in Game 3 of the title series to complete the sweep. The game was mostly controlled by Brose Baskets. ratiopharm Ulm managed to win second period 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Brose Baskets made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by ratiopharm Ulm's players. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 assists. He was named the MVP after the game. Guard Darius Miller (203-90, college: Kentucky) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was power forward Raymar Morgan (202-88, college: Michigan St.) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and forward Augustine Rubit (201-89, college: S.Alabama) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ALBA Berlin claimed the BBL Cup title. They overcame hosting Bayern Munich at the Audi Dome tonight. Elmedin Kikanovic (211-C-88, agency: Beo Basket) posted 19 points to lead the winners. ALBA eked out a 13:11 lead ten minutes into the game. However Bayern shifted the gear in the second period. The hosts unleashed 23 points and surged ahead for a 34:25 halftime lead. ALBA quickly regained composure. The visitors stressed defence in the third period. They limited Bayern to just 9 points in the quarter and tied things up at 43 heading into the fourth frame. ALBA and Bayern went neck and neck throughout the final period. However Dragan Milosavljevic (198-G-89) converted a layup with 5 seconds left in regulation and brought the win to ALBA. Team National earned victory in the traditional Beko All-Star Game. Per Guenther (185-PG-88) scored 21 points and issued 4 assists to lead his side to the win at the Brose Arena in Bamberg. He was named the MVP. Team International unleashed 31 points in the first period to take a 7-point lead. But Team National erased the deficit and tied things up at 60 heading into the locker rooms. The German players erupted for 35 points in the third term to open an 8-point lead. They followed with a 33-point outburst in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. Nihad Djedovic (197-F-90, agency: Beo Basket) delivered 18 points, while Johannes Voigtmann (210-C-92) added 17 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds for the winners. Jon Brockman (201-F-87, college: Washington) responded with 23 points and 14 rebounds for Team International. Kyle Fogg (190-PG-90, college: Arizona) added 19 points and 8 assists in the defeat.
