Italy claimed title in Klatovy. They defeated Russia to earn the Gold medals. It was a close battle from start to finish. The teams were tied at 12 ten minutes into the game. Italy eked out a 34:32 halftime lead. Russia managed to pull within one point at the final break. But Italy held their opponents to just 16 points in the fourth frame to rally to the victory. Costanza Verona (170-PG-99) finished with 25 points, while Sara Madera (186-F/C-00) added 15 points for the champions. Russia replied with 19 points from Valentina Kozhukhar (188-C/F-99).
3-4 Place
France - Belgium 50-34
France thumped Belgium to earn the Bronze medals in Czech Republic. France recorded a 19:17 halftime lead. They held Belgium to just 17 points in the second half and marched to the victory. Hungary cruised past Belarus in the first game in Group B. Hungary recorded a 43:23 halftime advantage. They added 39 points in the second half and raced to the win. Dalma Czukor (183-SG-99) stepped up with 15 points, while Petra Pusztai (177-F/G-99) contributed 14 points for Hungary. Arina Masko (175-G/F-99) had 17 points for Belarus.

Poland - Sweden 58-30
Poland thumped Sweden to register the first win at the tournament. Poland trailed by three points ten minutes into the game. But they held Sweden to just 13 points in the next three periods and cruised to the win. Karolina Matkowska (175-PG-99) netted 11 points, while Olga Trzeciak (183-PF-00) added 10 points for Poland. Stephanie Visscher (183-G-99) replied with 11 points for Sweden.

Czech Republic - Russia 43-58
Russia beat Czech Republic to ensure the opening win in Group C. Russia led by two points at the big break. They followed with a 35:22 rally after the long pause and came out winners. Anastasiia Zotkina (188-C-99, agency: LBM Management) provided 14 points, while Kamilla Ogun (190-PF-99, agency: LBM Management) added 9 points for the winners. Kristyna Brabencova (183-G/F-99) chipped in 14 points for Czech Republic.

Group D
Holland - Italy 75-72
Netherlands held off Italy in the opener. The Dutch team eked out a 43:37 halftime lead. Italy poured in 35 points in the second half but came up short of win at the end. Kiki Fleuren (170-PG-00) deposited 21 points, while Ilse Kuijt (175-SG-99) added 14 points for Netherlands. Martina Fassina (183-F-99) notched 20 points and 11 rebounds for Italy.

France - Germany 77-50
France breezed past Germany behind 22 points from Tima Pouye (174-PG-99). France accumulated a 34:20 halftime lead. They added 44 points in the second half and marched to the win. Emmanuelle Tahane (185-F-99) had 15 points for les Bleues. Luisa Geiselsoeder (192-C-00) knocked down 20 points for Germany.
