Division B. Greece coast past Georgia

Greece exploded , trying to wash their disappointment away and crushed Georgia 30-107 for the most lopsided win of the tournament so far. After losing to Ireland on opening night Greece went full gas and quickly showed Georgia that no presents were to be given in the second game of both teams. There was a bit of hope in the Georgian hearts as Ekaterine Tsivtsivadze hit a three for the early lead, but Greece responded to 3-6 before Barbakadze put 5-6 on the boards. Georgia put on a decent resitance in the opening stanza, keeping in sight 13-18 on a lay-up by U16 topscorer and MVP Salome Svani and they kept getting allright looks for more, but Artemis Kouki went for a three point play at 13-24 that first brought the gap to double digits. It turned out to be the Vorentscheidung as Lamprini Polymeni drew up 15-32 after a three point play and the following Georgian field goal only came for 18-49 as Barbakadze converted an EKaterine Tsivtsivadze into two points. Greece managed to get to 57 points at the break, leading their opponent 19-57 going in to the third quarter. Eleni Bosgana (193-F-2003) hit a lay-up for 20-70 making it a 50 point gap for the first time after a little more than three minutes, and not too far after that they even topped the 60 points mark. Twice. Nona Tsomaia had a nice jumper to pull within 60 again before Greece pulled away to over 60 for good. Midway through the final quarter it was Anastasia Drosouni who connected on the 27-100 and the end came at 30-107.
