But Slovenia sank 22 points in the second frame to gain a 3-point halftime lead. Germany used a 17-9 run in the third term to regain the lead. But Slovenia went on a massive 17-2 rally in the fourth period to secure the trophy. Hana Sambolic (176-PG-2004) and Anja Dragar (180-PG-2003) delivered 15 points each for Slovenia. Franka Wittenberg (175-G-2003) answered with 14 points for Germany. 3-4 PlaceHolland - Switzerland 68-51Netherlands clinched third position as they overcame Switzerland in the consolation final. The Dutch team secured a 26-19 halftime lead. They dropped 42 points in the second half to march to the victory. Iris Vennema tossed in 15 points in the win. Lotte Van Kruistum (183-SF-2003) had 13 points and 17 rebounds for the Dutch side. Viktoria Ranisavljevic (164-G-2005) answered with 16 points for Switzerland. 5-6 PlaceRomania - Iceland 69-59Romania earned the fifth place in Craiova as they held off Iceland. The hosts registered a 30-25 halftime lead. They drained 25 points in the fourth period to race to the win. Ana Ivan (174-G/F-2004) and Anisia Croitoru (187-C-2003) tossed in 14 points each for the winners. Elisabeth Aegisdottir (187-F/C-2003) replied with 16 points and 13 rebounds for Iceland. 7-8 PlaceNorway - Ireland 83-77Norway outscored Ireland to earn the seventh overall position in Romania. The Irish grabbed a 37-33 halftime lead. But Norway responded with a 50-point effort in the second half to seal the win. Aurora Sorbye (168-G-2005) finished with 17 points, while Fatima Mohammad and Karyn Sanford (183-G-2003) had 15 points each for Norway. Hazel Finn (177-PG-2003) answered with 23 points and 9 rebounds for Ireland. 9-10 PlaceGreece - Croatia 77-81Croatia
outgunned Greece to finish 9th in Craiova. Greece stayed in charge
throughout the first half. They established a 44-41 halftime advantage.
But Croatia answered with a 40-33 run in the second half to snatch the
win. Elena Pericic (186-F-2003) tossed in 17 points, while Nika Rodek (177-G-2004) and Hana Muhl (173-G-2003)
posted 14 points each for Croatia. Eleni Bosgana (193-F-2003) answered with 29 points
for Greece. 11-12 PlaceUnited Kingdom - Slovakia 59-68Slovakia earned the 11th position in Craiova as they outgunned Great Britain. Slovakia recorded a 37-26 halftime lead. Great Britain narrowed the gap in the second half but could not avoid the loss. Alexandra Erdelyiova (179-SF-2004) notched 19 points for Slovakia. Ebere Egbirika (168-G-2004) answered with 16 points for Great Britain. 13-14 PlaceUkraine - Bulgaria 64-70Bulgaria wrapped up their campaign on a winning note as they rallied past Ukraine. Bulgaria recorded a 42-26 halftime lead. Ukraine went on a 21-9 run in the fourth period but could not avert the loss. Ivana Boneva (175-G/F-2005) tossed in 19 points for Bulgaria. Yvheniia Putra (191-C-2004) and Vira Hrumaliuk (185-F-2004) banked in 19 points each for Ukraine. 15-16 PlaceGeorgia - Austria 55-61Austria claimed the 15th position at the tournament as they outlasted Georgia in their last game in Romania. Erin Foxhall (175-F-2003) stepped up with 23 points and 9 rebounds to pace the winners. Lilian Schwarzenecker (175-G-2004) added 11 points for Austria.
