Ufimets Ufa clinch Superleague 2 title - Apr 29, 2019
The Regular Season in Superleague 2 just ended. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.
An interesting game for Ufimets Ufa (42-6) which hosted in Ufa 4th placed Arsenal (31-17). First ranked Ufimets Ufa had an easy win 95-75. Ufimets Ufa looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Arsenal helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for guard Artem Isakov (192-87) who led his team to a victory with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Sergei Kharitonov (205-91) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Ufimets Ufa's coach Ruslan Bokov used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Dmitriy Rytenko (199-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for Arsenal. Ufimets Ufa maintains first place with 42-6 record. Arsenal at the other side keeps the fourth position with 17 games lost. The game in Cheboksari supposed to be also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Ryazan (28-20) played at the court of seventh ranked Cheb.Yastreby (26-22). Cheb.Yastreby did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 81-61. Center Kirill Arkhipov (202-96) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Kirill Zakharov chipped in 25 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was power forward Yuriy Trubin (206-94) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Cheb.Yastreby maintains seventh place with 26-22 record. Ryazan at the other side keeps the sixth position with 20 games lost.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 57: bottom-ranked Elbrus Cherk. was smashed by Dynamo-MGTU on the road 113-93. Lok.Kuban KRS won against Dynamo STV on its own court 83-68. Neftekhimik T. unfortunately lost to Dyn-Magn.ChL in Cheliabinsk 83-89.
