The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 17-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Ural Ekaterinburg made 20-of-25 free shots during the game. Ural Ekaterinburg outrebounded Universitet-Yugra 45-28 including a 17-5 advantage in defensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Universitet-Yugra helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Semen Shashkov (205-F-89) who saved his team from a defeat with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Linas Lekavicius (186-G-84, college: American) answered with 11 points and 9 rebounds and forward Denis Hloponin (206-F-81) added 10 points in the effort for Universitet-Yugra. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. In Game 1 Ural grabbed 74:72 victory but then fell short in Surgut. In Game 2 Univ.Surgut celebrated a 72:65 win to tie the records at 1-1.
