Ruskon-Mordovia celebrated Higher League title. They defeated Tambov to sweep the championship series. It was a great evening for center Vladimir Lidyaev (201-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Dmitriy Zagnoyko (192-85) helped adding 20 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Ruskon-Mordovia's coach Dmitry Osipov allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was center Andrey Voron (207-87) with 20 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Georgiy Kaminskiy (182-87) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Sojuz Zaretchny upset Cheliabinsk on the road and earned the Bronze medals. Sojuz Zaretchny made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Cheliabinsk helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for center Aleksandr Semchenko (211-89) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 6 rebounds.
