    Samara claimed Superleague 1 title. They rolled past Spartak in Saint Petersburg tonight to complete the sweep. Samara outrebounded Spartak St.Petersburg 46-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. Spartak St.Petersburg was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for guard Vladimir Pichkurov (193-90, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. The former international swingman Igor Smygin (197-87) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. The former international point guard Ivan Savelyev (190-87) came up with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Evgeny Fidiy (207-91) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Spartak St.Petersburg in the defeat.
