Ukrainian Superleague and Higher league season cancelled due to Coronavirus - Mar 12, 2020
In order to protect the health and safety of players, coaches, officials and fans, the Ukrainian basketball Federation has decided to cancel the season in local leagues due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). This applies to male and female Superleague (elite division) and Higher League (second division). The decison has been made after a consultation with all clubs and Federation members. The Ukrainian Cup Final Four will be moved on Septermber 2020.

Dnipro clinch SuperCup title even despite the loss in the second game. They lost to Khimik 82:85, however won the SuperCup series opener as they beat Khimik on the road 78-63. Dnipro posted a 17-16 run and added a 23-21 rally in the second frame. Moreover they produced a 24-22 run in the third quarter, while the team from Yuzhniy ended up with a 26-18 win. Isaiah Williams (188-G-95, college: Georgia St.) top-scored for Khimik with 16 points and Mykhailo Horobchenko (182-PG-98) notched 15. Oleksandr Riabchuk brought 14, whilst Artem Kovalov (202-F-97, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) had 13. Dmytro Gliebov (198-G/F-88) replied with 18 points for Dnipro and Maxym Korniyenko (205-F/C-87) added 15.

Legion edge Ukraine in All Star Game 2020 held in Kyiv. The foreigners took a 37-25 lead at the start of the game and had a 6-point advantage at the halftime. The third and the fourth periods were similar not only in the court, however showed the same numbers for both teams in each quarter, 29-29. QJ Peterson (183-PG-94, college: VMI), Dion Wright (201-F-93, college: St.Bonaventure) and Bruce Massey (190-G-90, college: MTSU) top-scored for the winners with 16 points each. Lewis Sullivan (201-F-95, college: UAB) and Henry Dugat (183-PG-87, college: Baylor) netted 14 points each in a win. The latter was named MVP of the game as he also added rebounds and 9 assists. Maksym Pustozvonov (200-SF-87) replied with 22 points in the losing effort and Maks Adam Konate (202-PF-91) as well as Maxym Korniyenko (206-F/C-87) posted 14 each. Pavlo Krutous (201-G/F-92) claimed Slam Dunk Contest title, Maksym Lutsenko (191-F/G-93) celebrated victory in the Skills Challenge, while Maksym Pustozvonov earned Three-Point Shootout Contest title.
