    OPAP Basket League season cancelled - Mar 14, 2020


    Cyprus Basketball Federation (CBF) Board have decided to take all the necessary safety actions regarding the spread of COVID-19 virus in the country. World Health Organization have declared an outbreak a world-wide pandemic. The CBF Board have decided to end the 2019/20 OPAP Basket League season. The final table and the champions of the season will be decided later. The CBF board expect full understanding and support from the fans, sports community and partners. This decision will have enormous long-term financial impact on both the clubs and the league. However, health and life are fundamental values and CBF have made the safest decision for the players, personnel and society.

    AEK Larnaca - Keravnos 74:83

    Keravnos celebrate SuperCup title in Nicosia beating AEK Larnaca 83-74. They took a narrow 22-21 lead and enjoyed an 8-point advantage. The third quarter was decisive in the game as Keravnos needed a 25-14 surge to seal the win.
    Mohamed Abukar (208-F-85, college: San Diego St., agency: Two Points) top-scored for the winners with 19 points and Vernon Taylor (192-G-87, college: Troy) posted 16. Jake O'Brien (206-F-89, college: Temple, agency: HMS) posted 11, whilst Josh Hagins (185-G-94, college: UALR, agency: Haylett Sports) netted 10. Isaac Hamilton (196-G-94, college: UCLA) replied with 22 points in a loss and Esa Ahmad (203-F-96, college: WVU) notched 20.
