Perfumerias Avenida celebrated Spanish SuperCup title. They overcame Rivas Ecopolis yesterday to earn yet another trophy to start the season with. Previously Avemida triumphed at European SuperCup beating Elitzur Ramla. Rivas Ecopolis ensured a strong start to the game. They earned an 18:13 lead after ten minutes. But Avenida picked up the slack in the second term. The Spanish powerhouse went on a 21:8 run to grab a 34:26 halftime lead. Rivas Ecopolis went off the dressing room ready to fight. They outscored Avenida in the third term to cut the deficit to just 4 points 47:51. But Avenida unloaded 26 points in the fourth period and ran away with a confident win at the end. DeWanna Bonner (193-G-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: Auburn) stepped up with 29 points and 9 rebounds to pace the winners. Marta Xargay Casademont (180-G-90, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 15 points, while Marta Fernandez (178-F-81) had 12 points in the victory.
