Szolnok defended the championship title in Hungary. They blasted Falco-Szova last night 102-84 in Game Four of the Playoff Finals. It means that Szolnok won the series with almost perfect 3-1. The hosts opened the game in style making 35-22 in the first ten minutes. They jumped to plus 23 at the halftime and later had no troubles to keep the comfortable lead. Quarters: 35-22, 28-18, 23-17, 16-27. Brandon Gay (203-F-82, agency: Edge Sports, college: San Diego) and Marton Bader (212-C-80, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) were the leading players in victory with 19 points each. Akos Horvath (193-G/F-81) had 16, while Julien Mills (193-G/F-85, college: Ball St.) and Zoltan Trepak (210-C-77, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) helped with 12 points apiece. Zsolt Szabo (202-F-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) and Djordje Pantelic (204-F-84) netted 15 and 12 points respectively. Szolnoki Olaj was No.3 in the regular season with 21-5 record. They eliminated Kesckemeti in the Quarterfinals and Albacomp in the Semis, both with perfect 3-0. It is important to mention that Szolnoki already won the Hungarian Cup earlier this season.

Hungarian NT beats Imports in All-Star Game in Budapest - Feb 6, 2012
Hungarian National Team - Import All-Stars 113-152 (38-41, 21-44, 27-33, 27-34)
It wasn't any defense in the game at all and the entire game was like a really long higlight. Dunks came after dunks... After my opinion it wasn't a good All-Star game (and I've talked with a bunch of people who are thinking the same). The truth is that the real Hungarian National Team wasn't on the court... the players of Szolnok (Obie Trotter, Marton Bader, Marton Fodor, Gabor Soos, Akos Horvath, Zoltan Trepak) haven't attendet the All-Star game because Szolnok played a Hungarian Cup game a day before and they had to compete in the EuroChallenge 2 days later. Two other key players of the National Team, Peter Lorant and Adam Hanga are playing in Spain in the ACB, so they couldn't come home either. A really young bunch of Hungarian players played against the imports.
