Szolnok celebrated the Hungarian Cup title. They held off Sopron in the intense Final. Szolnok held their opponents to just 11 points in the first frame to gain a 5-point lead. Szolnok boosted the gap in the second frame. They cleared off to a 35:25 halftime advantage. Sopron narrowed the gap in the third term. They got within 8 points at the final intermission. Szolnok entered the final minutes of regulation up by six points 66:60. But Sopron used 7:2 run to get within one. But Szolnok held on to the lead and sealed the victory.
