Szolnok earned the second consecutive A Division title. They rolled past KTE-Duna Aszfalt at home court today to sweep the championship series. David Vojvoda (196-G/F-90, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) came up with another stellar performance scoring 19 points for the champions. Szolnok dominated from the tip off. The hosts built a 20:13 lead ten minutes into the game. Szolnok stayed in charge throughout the second quarter. The hosts piled up a 37:28 halftime lead. They kept KTE-Duna Aszfalt at bay throughout the third term. Szolnok secured an 11-point lead heading into the fourth frame and never looked back en route to the victory. Strahinja Milosevic (203-F-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) finished with 15 points, while Lazeric Jones (182-PG-90, college: UCLA) and Michael Lee (206-PF-86) added 7 points each for the winners. Marko Derasimovic (198-F/G-84, agency: BeoExcell) answered with 14 points for KTE-Duna Aszfalt. Martin Pongo (189-G-92, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) had 8 points in the defeat.
Szolnok regained the Hungarian Cup title. They beat KTE-Duna Aszfalt for the trophy.
