Anadolu Efes are the new BSL champions. They dethroned Fenerbahce beating them in the decisive seventh game of the championship series. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-74. Anadolu Efes made 21-of-21 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. It was a great evening for American point guard Shane Larkin (180-92, college: Miami, FL) who led his team to a victory scoring 38 points (!!!) and 4 assists (made all of his thirteen free throws !!!). Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic (196-94, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 20 points and 4 assists. At the losing side Greek point guard Kostas Sloukas (197-90) responded with 21 points and 6 assists and Serbian forward Nikola Kalinic (202-91) scored 19 points. Trailing 16-20 at the end of the first period, Fenerbahce took control of the game in the second frame and enjoyed a 39-34 half-time advantage. Fenerbahce led 4 points after three quarters and increased to 6 more in the last stanza. Luigi Datome (203-F-87) and Konstantinos Sloukas (197-PG-90) paced their squad with 22 and 19 points each, while Melih Mahmutoglu (193-SG-90) added 10 points. Anadolu Efes grabbed a narrow 17-15 lead after ten minutes, while Fenerbahce scored the same number of points in the second frame to take a 2-point lead at the halftime. The third quarter was decisive in the game as Anadolu Efes surged a 16-6 run to seal the win. Konstantinos Sloukas (197-PG-90) scored 5 in a row for 58-62, while Dunston increased to 6 points.
