    Anadolu Efes beat Fenerbahce to clinch BSL title - Jun 21, 2019


    Anadolu Efes - Fenerbahce 89-74

    Anadolu Efes are the new BSL champions. They dethroned Fenerbahce beating them in the decisive seventh game of the championship series. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-74. Anadolu Efes made 21-of-21 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. It was a great evening for American point guard Shane Larkin (180-92, college: Miami, FL) who led his team to a victory scoring 38 points (!!!) and 4 assists (made all of his thirteen free throws !!!). Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic (196-94, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 20 points and 4 assists. At the losing side Greek point guard Kostas Sloukas (197-90) responded with 21 points and 6 assists and Serbian forward Nikola Kalinic (202-91) scored 19 points. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures.

    Fenerbahce clinched 2018/19 Cup title. In the Final game they edged Anadolu Efes 80-70 in a packed Ankara gym. Trailing 16-20 at the end of the first period, Fenerbahce took control of the game in the second frame and enjoyed a 39-34 half-time advantage. Fenerbahce led 4 points after three quarters and increased to 6 more in the last stanza.
    Luigi Datome (203-F-87) and Konstantinos Sloukas (197-PG-90) paced their squad with 22 and 19 points each, while Melih Mahmutoglu (193-SG-90) added 10 points. Adrien Moerman (202-PF-88) replied with 18 in a loss, whilst Vasilije Micic (196-PG-94, agency: BeoBasket) brought 16. Bryant Dunston (203-C-86) nailed 15 and Krunoslav Simon (197-F/G-85) ended up with 11.

    Anadolu Efes clam SuperCup title in Ankara. They overcame rivals Fenerbahce 65-62 in a tough game.
    Anadolu Efes grabbed a narrow 17-15 lead after ten minutes, while Fenerbahce scored the same number of points in the second frame to take a 2-point lead at the halftime. The third quarter was decisive in the game as Anadolu Efes surged a 16-6 run to seal the win. Konstantinos Sloukas (197-PG-90) scored 5 in a row for 58-62, while Dunston increased to 6 points. Konstantinos Sloukas once again was perfect from the free throw line to cut it to 60-64 with his team and then Muhammed netted two for 62-64. BEAUBOIS went on a free throw line to bring the winners the final victory.
    Adrien Moerman (202-PF-88) and Dogus Balbay (185-PG-89, college: Texas) top-scored for the winners with 13 points each, while Krunoslav Simon (197-F/G-85) added 11. Konstantinos Sloukas replied with 24 in a loss and Ahmet Duveroglu brought 10.
