    Fenerbahce celebrate third straight BSL title - Jun 13, 2018

    Fenerbahce clinched the third straight BSL title. They fired past Tofas in Istanbul tonight to win the championship series 4-1. The game without a history. Fenerbahce led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Tofas' players. Center Ahmet Duverioglu (209-93) stepped up and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and Greek point guard Konstantinos Sloukas (197-90) chipped in 6 points and 8 assists. American point guard Pierria Henry (193-93, college: Charlotte) responded with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Berkan Durmaz (205-97) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

    Anadolu Efes celebrated their 11th Turkish Cup in Istanbul. In the Final game they posted a 78-61 win over Tofas. Anadolu Efes took control of the game from the first minutes and never looked behind after. They had a 26-17 lead after the first minutes and enjoyed a 40-32 halftime advantage. Moreover Anadolu Efes won the third frame 22-15 and closed the game with a 16-14 rally.
    Errick McCollum (185-PG-88, college: Goshen) top-scored with 23 points, while Krunoslav Simon (197-F/G-85) tapped 19 points and 7 assists. Bryant Dunston (203-C-86) recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Tony Crocker (200-SF-87, college: Oklahoma) ended up with 11 points in the losing effort.

    Fenerbahce conquered President's Cup title in Ankara beating Banvit 75:64 today. Fenerbahce took control of the game in the first period and led 19-11 after the first 10 minutes. Moreover they added a 20-17 rally in the second frame for a comfortable 11 points halftime advantage. Fenerbahce posted a 21-20 run in the third quarter, while Banvitspor closed the game with a narrow 16-15 rally.
    Jan Vesely (213-C/F-90) top-scored for the winners with 18 points and Luigi Datome (203-F-87) nailed 14. Konstantinos Sloukas (197-PG-90) poured in 13, whilst Brad Wanamaker (193-G-89, college: Pittsburgh) added 11.     Team Asia outscore European side in All Star game played in Istanbul. Europe posted a 37-32 rally in the start of the game, while the opponents replied with a 38-33 run to tie the score at the halftime. It looked as if Europe would benefit from the game as they won the third period 48-38 and led 10 points before the last stanza. Team Asia however erupted with a massive 43-24 surge to seal the victory.
    Baris Ermis (194-PG-85) stepped up with 22 points and 14 assists to be named MVP of the game. Jeff Ayres (206-F-87, college: Arizona St.) netted 26 and had 12 rebounds, while Christopher Obekpa (208-F/C-93, college: UNLV) and Metecan Birsen (208-F-95) poured in 17 apiece. Erving Walker answered wit 30 points in the losing effort.
    Onuralp Bitim (196-SG-99) clinched Slam Dunk Contest crown, while Brady Heslip (191-SG-90, college: Baylor) celebrated victory in Three-Point Shootout Contest.
