Obradoiro wins LEB Gold Playoffs, returns to ACB - Jun 3, 2011

LEB Gold Finals, Game 4: Burgos - Obradoiro 64-75 (1-3)

Obradoiro handed 64-75 home loss to Burgos tonight winning the LEB Gold Playoffs with almost perfect 3-1. At the same time, Obradoiro earned a spot for ACB 2011/12 season. Murcia already did it in April as they were regular season champions with 30-4 record. Burgos stays in LEB Gold.
The game was mostly controlled by Obradoiro CAB. Ford Burgos managed to win second period 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ford Burgos to just 5 points in first quarter. Forward Alberto Corbacho (201-84) fired 21 points for the winners. The former international center Oriol Junyent (207-76) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Obradoiro CAB players scored in double figures. American guard Micah Downs (203-86, college: Gonzaga, agency: Priority Sports) produced 22 points and point guard Raimundo Lopez (185-89) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side.
