Fenerbahce grabs 2012/2013 TKBL Crown! They overcame their rivals Galatasaray 70:62 in the fifth decisive game. Galatasaray was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Serbian center Ivana Matovic (197-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Cappie Pondexter (175-83, college: Rutgers) contributed with 27 points for the winners. Belgian center Ann Wauters (194-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) answered with 25 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Lindsey Harding (173-84, college: Duke) added 16 points in the effort for Galatasaray.

Fenerbahce Won Turkish Presidential Cup (62-45) - Oct 18, 2012

After the first quater , Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu started to take game control and end of the first half Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu leaded 30-22. In the second half , Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu offensively played well. And Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu won the cup by big margin (62-45). Anastasiya Veremeenko (194-C-87) played outstanding game with 10 points , 12 rebounds , 4 bloks and 3 asists. Also Angel McCoughtry (185-SF-86, college: Louisville) played with 13 points and 11 boards. Last night Galatasaray M.P. Istanbul's best player was Isil Alben (170-G-86) played with 11 points , 7 asists and 4 rebounds.

Galatasaray snapped the hegemony of Fenerbahce in the SPORTOTO Turkish Cup claiming the title. - Jan 6, 2013

Last years's Turkish Cup winner Galatasaray beat Fenerbahce 74-72 to take SPOR TOTO Turkish Cup in Antalya. Galatasaray took Turkish Cup for ten times.

Sancho Lyttle (192-C-83, college: Houston) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. She was named the MVP of the final after the game. Ann Wauters and Lindsay Whalen also came up with double double for Galatasaray,14 points and 10 rebounds, 13 points and 12 assists respectively. Sebnem Kimyacioglu added 12 points for winners.
Cappie Pondexter scored 19 points and 5 rebounds, Ivana Matovic added 16 points. Angel Mc Coughtry and Anastasiya Verameyenka helped 13 and 11 points respectively in the losing effort.
