Tampereen Pyrinto won Korisliiga Finals beating Kataje 3-2 in the series after 80:57 in the decisive game.

The game was mostly controlled by Tampereen Pyrinto. Joensuun Kataja managed to win third quarter 26-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Joensuun Kataja to just 4 points in first quarter and to 14 points in first half. They outrebounded Joensuun Kataja 48-25 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. Forward Damon Williams (201-73, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Antwine Williams (192-75, college: N.Colorado, agency: Prossin Sports Management) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Jason Conley (196-81, college: Missouri, agency: Pro One Sports) answered with 13 points and power forward Darren Fells (201-86, agency: Court Side) added 4 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Joensuun Kataja. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

The season 2010-11 Finnish Cup winner is Kataja (Joensuu). Kataja defeated Torpan Pojat in Helsinki today 88-95 (51-43). Quarters: 21-19, 30-24, 17-24, 20-28. Kataja is winning The Cup second time. The first time was nine years ago in the year 2002. ToPo had a 13-point-lead during the first half, but Kataja was too strong during the second half. The Final MVP was Jared Newson (195-G/F-84, agency: Court Side, college: Tennessee-Martin) (Kataja), who scored game high 28 points and grabbed 13 rbs. Kataja won the rbs 32-43.
