Nanterre have become the new ProA champions. The underdogs fired past Strasbourg in the fourth game of the Finals to claim 3-1 win in the series. David Lighty (195-G/F-88, college: Ohio St.) stepped up with 21 points to lead the hosts. Strasbourg went on a 19:9 run to start the clash. But Nanterre did not panic and responded with a 13:0 run to gain a 22:19 lead early in the second period. Nanterre extended the lead in the second frame. The hosts opened a 35:25 advantage midway through the period. Strasbourg got within four points at the interval 36:40. Nanterre maintained the lead throughout the third quarter. The hosts built a 59:51 advantage heading into the fourth period. Strasbourg went on a desperate comeback rally in the final stanza. They narrowed the deficit at 2-point mark 68:70. But Nanterre answered with six points in a row and cleared off for good at the end. Jeremy Nzeulie (187-G-91) delivered 17 points, while Chris Warren (178-PG-88, college: Mississippi) contributed 13 points for the winners. Romain Duport (215-C-86) responded with 19 points for Strasbourg. Ricardo Greer (197-F/G-78, college: Pittsburgh) had 15 points in the loss.

Gravelines celebrated the Leaders Cup title tonight. They held off Strasbourg for the trophy in Paris tonight. Dwight Buycks (190-PG-89, college: Marquette) came up with 19 points to pace the winners. Ludovic Vaty (206-C-88, college: Moraine Valley CC) was named the MVP after the game. Gravelines did not waste time surging ahead in the opening quarter. They outgunned Strasbourg 19:14 in the first ten minutes. The teams traded baskets throughout the second quarter. Gravelines remained on top posting a 37:32 halftime lead. The margin grew in the third quarter. Gravelines piled up a 53:46 lead heading into the final period. They fired 24 points in the fourth stanza and escaped with a historic victory at the end. Ludovic Vaty, J.K. Edwards (202-C/F-82, college: UNLV) and Kennedy Winston (198-F/G-84, college: Alabama) posted 14 points each for the winning side. Louis Campbell (190-PG-79, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Buffalo) answered with 18 points for Strasbourg. Alexis Ajinca (215-C-88, agency: Priority Sports) chipped in 15 points in the loss.

Import selection clinched a spectacular victory at the 2012 All-Star Game held at the Palais Omnisports Paris-Bercy. Dwight Buycks (190-PG-89, college: Marquette) scored 17 points to pace the winners. The Imports got to a quick start. They erupted for 34 points in the opening frame to take a 7-point lead. France answered with a massive rally in the second quarter. They dropped 36 points in the period and gained a 63:51 halftime lead. The teams exchanged baskets throughout an impressive high-flying third term. The teams combined for 61 points in the quarter as Frenchmen entered the fourth term up by 11 points. However Imports team refused to give up. They held France to 14 points in the period and surged ahead to eke out an exciting victory at the end. Bernard King (196-G-81, college: Texas A&M) delivered 14 points for the winners. Jawad Williams (204-F-83, college: N.Carolina), Blake Schilb (200-G/F-83, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices, college: Loyola, IL) and Khalid El-Amin (178-G-79, college: Connecticut) contributed 13 points each for the Imports selection. France answered with 17 points from Ludovic Vaty (206-C-88, college: Moraine Valley CC). Amara Sy (202-F-81) had 14 points and 6 boards in the loss. The All-Star Game was preceded by the traditional contests. L.D. Williams celebrated victory in the Slam Dunk Contest. Xavier Corosine was the best shooter taking home a Three-Point Shootout Contest Trophy. Chris Warres earned the title in the NIKEiD Challenge Contest.
Limoges won the first trophy this season - Match des Champions 2012 (SuperCup). They grabbed 78-76 victory against Chalon last night at Palais des Congres in Paris. Brad Wanamaker (193-G-89, college: Pittsburgh) top-scored in victory with 23 points, while Jean-Michel Mipoka (197-SF-85) added 17 points and 6 rebounds. Ty Walker (213-C-89, college: Wake Forest) helped his team with 11 points and 6 boards. For the reigning ProA champions, Blake Schilb (200-G/F-83, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices, college: Loyola, IL) shined with 23 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds, while Steed Tchicamboud (193-G-81) netted 21 pts. Clint N'Dumba-Capela (204-F-94) stopped to 10 points and 5 rebs. Quarters: 24-13, 36-33, 52-57, 76-78. Jean-Michel Mipoka was MVP of the game with valuation 23. Elan Chalon had impressive least season winning three trophies. The team defended French Cup and also won the ProA title. Chalon was Semaine des As winner as well. At the other side, Limoges CSP was the ProB champion and they won the promotion for ProA. Also Limoges reached French Cup Finals, but lost it to Chalon. A year ago, Nancy downed Chalon 89-83 to win the SuperCup. Nicolas Batum was the MVP of this game. He had 22 points and 9 rebounds (valuation 30).

Paris-Levallois finished their season on a high note. They defeated Nanterre in the Cup Final at the Palais Omnisport de Paris-Bercy. Sean May (206-F-84, college: N.Carolina) delivered 21 points and 13 rebounds to pace the winners. Paris-Levallois took control over the tempo in the starting frame. They held Nanterre to 14 points in the first ten minutes to accumulate a 5-point lead. Paris-Levallois maintained the advantage throughout the second quarter. They established a 39:29 halftime advantage. Nanterre however turned the tables in the third quarter. They straighten up defensively and cut the deficit to just 7 points heading into the final period. Chris Warren (178-PG-88, college: Mississippi) put Nanterre within one with a three-pointer with just over two minutes remaining. However Sean May and Jawad Williams (204-F-83, college: N.Carolina) quickly restored a 7-point lead for Paris-Levallois. David Lighty (195-G/F-88, college: Ohio St.) tried to save the game for Nanterre but his four late points went in vain. John Cox (196-G-81, college: USF) had 18 points, while Julius Hodge (201-G-83, college: N.Carolina St.) and Jawad Williams provided 12 points each for the winners. David Lighty answered with 20 points for Nanterre. Chris Warren netted 15 points in the loss.
