    Orleans - Rouen 80-62

    Orleans fired past Rouen to clinch ProB playoff title. Therefore the team earned ProA promotion. The game was mostly controlled by Entente Orleans 45. SPO Rouen managed to win second period 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Entente Orleans 45 forced 19 SPO Rouen turnovers. It was a good game for American point guard Brandon Jefferson (175-91, college: MSU Denver, agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory with 25 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) contributed with 8 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American-Nigerian forward Christian Nwogbo (201-91, college: Cedarville, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 18 points and American point guard Jamar Diggs (190-88, college: Wofford, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points in the effort for SPO Rouen.

    ProB Round 34: Roanne are ProB champions - May 25, 2019


    The Regular Season in ProB just ended. The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

    The most exciting game of round 34 in the ProB took place in Nancy. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 5th ranked Sluc Nancy (22-12) to eighth ranked ADA Blois (19-15) 70-67 on Friday evening. ADA Blois had a 37-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. point guard Thomas Cornely (190-91, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Bastien Vautier (210-98) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Sluc Nancy's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ADA Blois have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Gries/Oberhoffen. Sluc Nancy at the other side keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost.
    Very important is a road loss of second ranked SPO Rouen (24-10) against fourth ranked JA Vichy (24-10) on Friday night. Visiting SPO Rouen was defeated by JA Vichy in a tough game in Vichy 72-77. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of SPO Rouen. Worth to mention a great performance of David Denave (193-85) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds. Charles-Henri Bronchard contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. JA Vichy's coach Guillaume Vizade allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. point guard Jean-Baptiste Maille (190-93) replied with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for SPO Rouen. JA Vichy moved-up to third place, which they share with Rouen.

They maintain first position with 26-8 record. Caen lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with 26 games lost.
    Fifteenth-ranked Denain Voltaire (12-22) made lots of trouble for ninth ranked Nantes (18-16). The visitors from Nantes managed to secure only one-point victory 65-64. However their fans expected much easier game. Jeremiah Wilson notched 9 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort. Nantes' coach Jean-Baptiste Lecrosnier used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Nantes maintains ninth position with 18-16 record, which they share with Poitiers. Denain Voltaire at the other side keeps the fifteenth place with 22 games lost.
    Eighteenth-ranked C'Chartres (7-27) made lots of trouble for fourteenth ranked Quimper UJAP (13-21) on Friday. The visitors from Quimper managed to secure only one-point victory 107-106. However their fans expected much easier game. Bernard King fired a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 assists for the winners. Quimper UJAP's coach Laurent Foirest used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Quimper UJAP moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Evreux and Lille. C'Chartres lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 27 lost games.

    Rest of the games of round 34 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
    Gries/Oberhoffen was defeated by Poitiers in a road game 90-79. Lille was smashed by Orleans at home 71-94. Evreux was destroyed by Saint-Chamond on the opponent's court 107-74. Paris managed to outperform Aix-Maurienne in a home game 72-70.
    The best stats of 34th round was 10 points and 9 rebounds by Jerome Cazenobe of Denain.



    Caen - Roanne 51-95

    Leader Chorale de Roanne delivered the twenty sixth victory on Friday night. This time they crushed 17th ranked Caen (8-26) 95-51.     Roanne claimed ProB Leaders Cup after they edged Rouen in the Final at the Disney Events Arena tonight. David Jackson (192-SG-86, college: W.Illinois) posted 16 points and 5 rebounds to pace the winners. He was named the MVP.
