Antibes outgunned Denain to sweep the championship series. Antibes thus earned ProA promotion. The game was mostly controlled by Olympique Antibes. Denain Voltaire managed to win fourth quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Olympique Antibes dominated on the defensive end, holding Denain Voltaire to just 7 points in second quarter. Olympique Antibes had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Olympique Antibes made 7 blocks. American Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Willie Solomon (187-78, college: Clemson, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists during the contest. Swingman Vafessa Fofana (198-92) responded with 8 points and 5 rebounds and American swingman Austin Hollins (193-91, college: Minnesota) scored 12 points. Antibes wrote history on Sunday. They overcame Souffelweyersheim for the title in the first edition of ProB Leaders Cup. Willie Solomon (187-PG-78, agency: Interperformances, college: Clemson) nailed 14 points to lead the winners. Mamoutou Diarra (200-F-80) was named the MVP of the Final.
The teams stayed neck and neck throughout the starting quarter. The scoreboard read 22:22 after ten minutes. Antibes held Souffelweyersheim to just 5 points in the second term to gain a 32:27 halftime lead. The teams stayed within striking distance in the third period. Antibes secured a 43:38 advantage heading into the fourth period. Souffelweyersheim Moustapha Diarra (204-C-87, college: USF) scored four points in a row midway through the final term to level things up at 48. However Willie Solomon responded with four quick points and then added four more to steer Antibes to the victory. Sime Spralja (205-C/F-83, agency: Court Side) accounted for 11 points, while Mamoutou Diarra had 10 points in the win. Daviin Davis (193-G/F-85, college: Weber St.) responded with 20 points for Souffelweyersheim. Moustapha Diarra had 12 points in the loss.
