Manresa celebrated LEB Gold playoff title. They fired past Melilla in the decisive fifth game of the championship series. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 97-67. La ICL Manresa dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Melilla Baloncesto's 30. La ICL Manresa looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Melilla Baloncesto helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Jordi Trias (208-80) who scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Lluis Costa (187-93) chipped in 12 points and 9 assists. Five La ICL Manresa players scored in double figures. Guard Eduardo Duran (190-91, agency: Duran International) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian-Bosnian guard Diego Kapelan (190-87, college: McNeese St., agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Cafes Candelas Breogan celebrate Copa Princesa de Asturias Unico as in the Final game they beat ICL Manresa 90-86. Breogan fully dominated the first half and came up with 23-19 and 32-14 victories in the first two quarters. ICL Manresa was too far to give up and erupted with a massive 31-18 surge in the third quarter. Moreover they posted a 22-17 rally in the last stanza, but could not seal the victory.
