Zalgiris - Neptunas 97-70

Zalgiris earned the sixth consecutive LKL title. They eased past Neptunas in Kaunas to conquer the trophy. The game was mostly controlled by Zalgiris. Neptunas managed to win third quarter 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Zalgiris dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Neptunas' 22. American-Ukrainian point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 7 assists. The former international Paulius Jankunas (205-84) contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Zalgiris players scored in double figures. American Daniel Ewing (191-83, college: Duke, agency: Stealth Sport) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Jerai Grant (203-89, college: Clemson) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Neptunas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Lietuvos Rytas captured the Lithuanian Cup title. They beat their archrivals Zalgiris in the Final tonight. Antanas Kavaliauskas (208-C-84, college: Texas A&M, agency: Interperformances) posted 20 points to pace the winners. He was named the MVP.
Lietuvos Rytas eked out a 20:17 lead ten minutes into the game. The Vilnius team held their opponents to just 6 points and boosted the margin at 6-point mark 29:23. Lietuvos Rytas continued to stay in front throughout the second half. They entered the fourth period up by 8 points 47:39. Lietuvos Rytas dropped 20 points in the final stanza and iced the victory. Mindaugas Lukauskis (198-G-79) provided 11 points, while Denys Lukashov (190-PG-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 8 points in the win. Martynas Pocius (196-SG-86, college: Duke) responded with 13 points for Zalgiris. Paulius Jankunas (205-PF-84) had 12 points in the loss.
