Limoges repeated as ProA champions. They overcame Strasbourg in the fourth game of the Finals to conquer the trophy. Eugene Jeter (180-PG-83, college: Portland) scored 21 points to lead the winners.
The teams stayed neck and neck throughout the opening quarter. Limoges and Strasbourg were knotted at 14 after ten minutes. Strasbourg pulled ahead in the second frame. The visitors eked out a 32:30 halftime advantage. Limoges denied the deficit in the third term. They evened things up at 54 heading into the fourth frame. The hosts however shifted the gear in the fourth frame. Pooh Eugene Jeter and Nobel Boungou-Colo (202-F-88) stepped up for the hosts helping them sink 30 points and rally to the triumph. The teams stayed close throughout the opening quarter. Strasbourg eked out a 20:19 lead after the first frame. Strasbourg went for 30 points in the second quarter to gain a 50:44 halftime lead. They maintained the advantage throughout the third term. Strasbourg entered the fourth frame up by 7 points 67:60. They followed with a 20:14 run in the fourth quarter to triumph in the Cup. Le Mans eked out a 15:13 lead after the opening quarter. Strasbourg bounced back in the second frame. They erased the deficit and spurred ahead for a 31:24 halftime advantage. Strasbourg extended their lead in the third term. They piled up a comfortable 15-point lead at the final intermission 47:32. But Le Mans refused to give up. They cut the distance to a single point on a three-pointer from Petr Cornelie. France celebrated victory in an exciting All-Star Game held at the Zenith in Paris tonight. Adrien Moerman (203-F-88) unloaded 40 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to pace the winners. He was named the MVP of the game.
Imports took a 35:31 lead after the opening quarter. France bounced back securing a 73:69 halftime lead. Imports denied the deficit in the third term. They tied things up at 100 after three quarters. The teams traded baskets throughout the fourth frame. The scoreboard read 121:121 at the end of regulation. France dropped 16 points in the extra period to celebrate victory. Mouhammadou Jaiteh (205-C-94) had 24 points, while Nobel Boungou-Colo (202-F-88) added 17 points for the winners. Jamar Smith (191-G-87, agency: KMG Sports Management, college: S.Indiana) nailed 19 points for the Imports selection.
