Maccabi Tel-Aviv clinched the Winner League title. They lost the return leg clash to Maccabi Haifa but earned the trophy thanks to point differential. Maccabi Haifa won the regulation 79:75 forcing overtime. But Maccabi Tel-Aviv outscored the visitors in the extra period and ensured the needed result at the end. Tyrese Rice was named the Finals MVP. Maccabi completed the triple this season winning Euroleague, Winner League and Cup titles. Maccabi Tel-Aviv celebrated the fourth straight League Cup title. They overcame Hapoel Jerusalem for the trophy. Sylven Landesberg (198-F/G-90, college: Virginia) stepped up with 21 points and 6 boards to pace the winners. Hapoel Jerusalem stayed in charge throughout the opening quarter. They jumped to an 11:3 early lead. Jerusalem secured a 25:18 advantage after ten minutes. Hapoel maintained the advantage throughout the second quarter. They arrived at the interval up by 7 points 41:34. But Maccabi stepped on the gas in the third frame. The Israeli powerhouse erased the deficit and tied things up at 49 heading into the fourth frame. Maccabi went on a 9:0 run at the start of the final period to spur in front. The gap soon grew to double digits and Maccabi never looked back again.
