Budivelnyk claim Superleague title - May 31, 2013

Budivelnyk - Azovmash 82:70

Budivelnyk are the new Superleague champions! They overcame Azovmash in the seventh decisive game of the title series in Kyiv tonight. Leo Lyons (206-F-87, agency: Edge Sports, college: Missouri) posted 27 points and 6 boards to lead the hosts to the trophy.
Budivelnyk set the tone early in the game. The hosts poured in 28 points in the first ten minutes to gain a 9-point lead. Budivelnyk stayed red hot throughout the second frame. The hosts fired 30 points in the next ten minutes to arrive at halftime up by 19 points 58:39. Azovmash finally added aggressiveness to their defence in the third term. The Mariupol team slowed the home team down in the quarter. Azovmash cut the deficit at 16-point mark at the final break. Miroslav Raduljica (213-C-88) and Lynn Greer (186-PG-79, college: Temple) gave Azovmash a spark of hope cutting the deficit to 11 points with under three minutes left in regulation. But Malcolm Delaney (191-G-89, college: Virginia Tech) and Leo Lyons came up with timely baskets for Budivelnyk and the hosts ran away with the victory. Malcolm Delaney finished with 19 points, 6 assists and 4 boards, while Michailis Anisimovas (214-C-84) added 14 points for the winners. Lynn Greer responded with 31 points for Azovmash. Miroslav Raduljica chipped in 20 points in the loss.

Budivelnyk: Leo Lyons 27, Malcolm Delaney 19, Michailis Anisimovas 14
Azovmash: Lynn Greer 31, Miroslav Raduljica 20
