AZS Politechnika Opolska celebrated 2Liga title. They lost to Politechnika Gdanska on the road but managed to lift the trophy thanks to a massive home win in Game 1. Politechnika Gd. dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to AZS PO's 22. Politechnika Gd. forced 25 AZS PO turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by AZS PO's players. Przemyslaw Szymanski (198-84, agency: Promotex) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. Swingman Marcin Malczyk (193-82, agency: Promotex) contributed with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Politechnika Gd. players scored in double figures. Politechnika Gd.'s coach Tomasz Brenk felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mateusz Szlachetka (197-99) replied with 22 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and Wojciech Leszczynski (190-92) added 16 points in the effort for AZS PO.
