Linense - Grupo Inec Z. 54-76

Grupo Inec Z. outgunned Linence to finish third in the group. Very significant was Grupo Inec Z.'s (#3) 22-point road victory against Linense in Fas Final 1 76-54. The game without a history. Grupo Inec Z. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Grupo Inec Z. forced 19 Linense turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-92, college: Idaho St.) who led the winners and scored 19 points. Point guard Lucas Vaquero (185-89) accounted for 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. British forward Sam Buxton (195-89, college: N.Alabama) came up with 9 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Miguel Ortega (188-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Linense in the defeat. Linense's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win.

L'Hospitalet held off Quintanar to secure the top position in the group. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Quintanar (2-1) on the court of L'Hospitalet on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by L'Hospitalet 73-63. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a great evening for guard Edgar San Epifanio (196-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Gabriel Diaz-Morera (196-89) helped adding 22 points and 4 assists. Plasencia - AEC Collblanc 46-52

AEC Collblanc fired past Plasencia to improve at 2-1 record. Host Plasencia (0-3) lost to AEC Collblanc (2-1) 52-46. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Plasencia won fourth quarter 11-7. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Plasencia 41-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Jordi Vall-Llobera (193-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 5 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Jaume Lopez (193-89) helped adding 12 points. The best for the losing side was forward Mario Alvarez (196-91) with 8 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Javier Cardito (178-93) scored 12 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

Alcazar knocked down Valencia II to finish the phase undefeated cliniching LEB Plata promotion. Rather expected game when Valencia-2 (1-2) was defeated at home by Alcazar (3-0) 84-72 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 46-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for forward Ignacio Diaz (200-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Lamonte Thomas (187-90, college: J.and Wales, RI) helped adding 17 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was forward David Guardia (200-90) with 19 points and 7 rebounds and guard Adria Duch (185-95) scored 16 points. Five Alcazar and four Valencia-2 players scored in double figures. Valencia-2's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.

Gandia Basquet - Ardoi 59-72

Ardoi finished the second stage on a high note as they beat Gandia Basquet. Very important is a home loss of Gandia Basquet (2-1) against Ardoi (1-2) on Sunday night. Host Gandia Basquet was defeated by Ardoi in Gandia 72-59. The game was mostly controlled by Ardoi. Gandia Basquet was better in second period 16-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Gandia Basquet to just 7 points in first quarter. It was a good game for naturalized Ukrainian forward Anton Savitski (196-86) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Dominican forward Rafa Matos (191-83) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Daniel Marti (203-89, college: Union, TN) answered with 12 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Kevin Navarro (178-92) added 13 points in the effort for Gandia Basquet. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Quart held off Coin to improve at 2-1 record. Quart used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Coin 83-66 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Quart. Coin was better in fourth quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Coin's 24 and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Quart forced 23 Coin turnovers. Coin was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American-Uruguayan center Brad Kanis (218-83, college: Grand Canyon, agency: Gamble Sports Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Eric Jimenez (190-90) helped adding 19 points. Myrtia held off Cordoba to finish the stage on a winning note. A very close game took place in Murcia between Myrtia and Cordoba. Myrtia (2-1) got a very close home victory over Cordoba (0-3). Myrtia managed to escape with a 1-point win 59-58 on Sunday evening. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 13-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Myrtia forced 20 Cordoba turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Jorge Lledo (203-80) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Pepe Llorente (185-82) chipped in 11 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Jose Medina (185-93) who recorded 17 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Carlos Garcia (178-98) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively.
